If you need to remove dissolved salts and obtain high-quality fresh water, RO technology is a more suitable choice. If the main concern is the removal effect of organic and colloidal substances, nanofiltration technology may be more suitable.   It should be noted that both nanofiltration and RO require a certain amount of energy supply and maintenance costs.
